I have been involved in numerology for thirty one years as of 2025. I recall clearly how I entered into it. I had returned to Edmonton, Canada from a vacation in Amsterdam in late 1993. Some friends of mine had become involved in an indoor market and I was encouraged to spend some of my spare time there. I got to know a few of the merchants, among whom existed a numerologist, of all things, professionally known by the name of 'Eddie'.
Now, Eddie and I would chat once in a while over coffee and he would tell me all about numerology as he knew it. I did not listen much to Eddie, to tell you the truth. He made little sense and I saw small point in the study. I have to be honest, I did not think much on numerology at the time. I tried to follow his train of information but it was murky, it seemed underdeveloped. Moreover, it was just not in my field of vision. I would nod politely, but as often my attention would drift as his voice would drone on. But, he did say something to me that did provoke me to listen. It was a simple question: "Do you like your life?"
I had to think. "Sometimes yes, sometimes no", I answered. "Well", he replied, "If you don't like your life, then change your name". Now with that statement he did manage to impress me. With that one disarming question existed the implied fact that numerology had some form of therapeutic power. That through numerology one could induce change, beneficial change, life altering change. Eddie did not get me involved in numerology, if you need to know, but he did plant the word for later recognition.
Winter set in, the market struggled and Eddie drifted away. I focused upon my work and I eventually got myself an apartment and life did carry on, but, on a certain day in mid-winter, while asleep, I acknowledged, when in a quasi-dream-state, a 'voice', for lack of a better word, that spoke to me. It was distinct to my perception and it simply said: "Study the Numbers". I immediately knew what that meant because, as you know, I had met Eddie, and I knew upon waking that my meeting with him had attained its purpose.
Still, I ignored the directive for a duration as it nagged at me until one day I slipped out of the door first thing upon waking, un-showered at that, to go to Ascendant Books in Edmonton to purchase a mid-priced, reasonable-looking book on numerology; as good of a book as I could afford. I took it home and I began to read. I then began to prepare charts through the instruction and within short time I was to perform readings. Sketchily, for no money at first, but I was doing them, and they were beginning to hit home, to my surprise.
In 2000 I was rewarded with a night course teaching position through Metro College in Edmonton to teach numerology to a class of six students. I had reached the point to be able to share my then still fledgling study, as I am to offer it to you today, but in the full bloom of maturity because my study since that time of initiation has continued unabated, to your eventual benefit.
Numerology is a powerful craft; surprisingly easy to learn, breathtakingly subtle in practice.
